Responsibilities

  • Monitor conversation on channels such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Pinterest — monitoring both people explicitly tagging the brand and people talking about them without tagging.
  • Engage with fans, influencers, and publications multiple times a day. Not just answering questions, but creating moments that will garner press and extend brand love with faves, RTs, shares, etc. Identify daily, quick-turnaround reactive opportunities — throw lots of ideas at the wall each day with the agency & client teams and see what sticks
  • Identify & track larger ideas that are not necessarily reactive, but based on observations in the community, as well as contribute to a running list of brand-centric behaviors
  • Be an integral part of brainstorming for larger campaigns, bringing the audience perspective to all ideas
  • Create excitement and proactively participate on our client’s social media platform
  • Develop, organize, prioritize, schedule and manage content with the client and internal team across all platforms
  • Announce new content on the brand channel, as well as remind people of the great experience they have had with the brand
  • Capture & publish content (copy, photos, videos, etc) as required
  • Manage pages and platforms (comments and direct messages)
  • Attend and cover key events to create content for the platforms
  • Foster relationships with influencers
  • Work closely with creative teams to identify opportunities for innovation and drive press coverage
  • Route customer service enquiries to the right channels and flag opportunities to surprise and delight members
  • Monitor client’s social listening tools and native platform analytics for top-line insights on what is working/not working on platforms
  • Staying current on digital and social media trends and platform innovations and changes (such as algorithm changes)
  • Strong knowledge of social best practices in terms of formats to use, how to optimize formats across channels and experience boosting and targeting content

Requirements

  • Excellent creative writing skills – you’re a writer at heart
  • An eye for good creative & design. This is a hybrid role of content creation + community mgmnt.
  • Ability to produce video & photography using your iPhone or Android phone for a variety of social pages
  • A hands-on ability to do what it takes to get the job done
    • Excellent social media knowledge and a capacity to adapt to user trends
  • Working knowledge of social media management tools/platforms (Percolate, Hootsuite, etc)
  • Sense of humour, good insight for jokes, obsessed with culture. The kind of person who can create a fake profile for a character and fully make that funny, intuitive about being funny for fans without offending
    • While this is mostly a creative job, a good head for analytics and organization is necessary to drive actionable insights from social listening reports
  • Ability to work in an agile manner
  • Ability to create content/editorial calendars for content planning purposes
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Community Manager
  • Educational background in: new media, advertising or journalism preferred
  • Experience with alcohol, food or financial brands a nice to have
  • Relevant agency, media or independent blogging experience is considered an asset
  • An impressive understanding of social media. You don’t need to have 50K Twitter or Instagram followers, but – you are connected, cultured & curious of the social space.
  • You know who’s who and can offer a POV on who best to engage with.
  • Writing samples required
  • Knowledge of local market

Responsibilities

  • Developing reports including monthly trend reports, campaign pulse reports and conducting sentiment analysis
  • Understanding how to present analytical discoveries in a report that is simple and easy to comprehend
  • Create post-campaign reports that accurately summarizes social key learnings and suggest implementations for future projects
  • Participate in research and social listening to uncover insights for strategic planning
  • Being highly familiar with the tone of the client and being able to represent across social channels accordingly
  • Community manage by monitoring social media accounts and responding to questions and comments
  • Developing multi-platform social media community management guidelines
  • Provide thought-starters into new & emerging trends and how they might be applied to current projects and campaigns
  • Performing agency duties such as attending meetings, participating in presentations, and attending client events
  • Bring value based upon your experience and interests within the social and advertising space

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience working in social media marketing and analytics (can include school)
  • Knowledge in social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and emerging platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to fully understand social media metrics and what they mean to businesses and brands.
  • Exceptional writing skills for social content
  • Exemplary grammar, communication skills, reporting skills and proficiency in G Suite, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with platform social media management tools such as Sprinklr, Sysomos & Social Bakers is preferred
  • Agency experience is preferred
